International social democrats with Havoda fighting for democracy

ראשי מפלגות סוציאל-דמוקרטיות בהונגריה, צרפת, ספרד, הולנד, אוסטריה, איטליה, בלגיה, יוון, , שבדיה, פורטוגל, סרביה, שוויץ, סלובניה, צ'ילה, צ'כיה ופולין, חתמו על גילוי דעת משותף נגד ההפיכה המשטרית ובעד המחאה הנרחבת נגדה בישראל, במכתב שהופנה ליו"ר מפלגת העבודה הישראלית:
"We view yesterday's events in Israel with deep concern. The legislation that passed in the Knesset weakens Israeli democracy by concentrating even more power in the hands of the government at the expense of parliament and the courts.
The massive public opposition to the legislation, over many months, is inspiring. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis are fighting for democracy in their country, and we continue to stand with them.
As social democrats and progressives, we stand with our sister party in Israel and with all those who support Israeli democracy. We will take concrete steps to express our concerns to the Israeli government through bilateral and multilateral channels".

"אנו רואים בדאגה עמוקה את אירועי השבוע האחרון בישראל. החקיקה שעברה בכנסת מחלישה את הדמוקרטיה הישראלית בכך שהיא מגדילה את כוחה של הממשלה על חשבון הפרלמנט ובתי המשפט". בהצהרה, שנשלחה ליו"ר העבודה מרב מיכאלי, נכתב עוד כי ראשי המפלגות כי "ההתנגדות הציבורית המשמעותית לחקיקה, לאורך חודשים ארוכים, מעוררת השראה. מאות אלפי ישראלים נלחמים למען הדמוקרטיה ואנחנו עומדים לצידם".
Later on Dylan Boutiflat (SN international Parti socialiste France), joined, saying: "we express our solidarity with our comrades of Havoda Party and all israeli democrats. Our countries must respect rule of law and balance between powers. Our societies need dialogue and peace. יו"ר העבודה מיכאלי: "בימים האחרונים אני מקבלת שיחות תמיכה ממנהיגות ומנהיגים סוציאל דמוקרטים ברחבי העולם. ידידים טובים של ישראל דואגים מאוד נוכח ההפיכה המשטרית המתרחשת בימים אחה. מפלגות אחיות, סוציאל דמוקרטיות, ברחבי העולם איתן אנו נמצאים בקשר רציף במפלגת העבודה מציעות עזרה וידע ובעיקר סולידריות עם הכוחות הליברלים בארץ. כיו"ר מפלגת העבודה אני רואה חשיבות עצומה לחיזוק הקשרים עם הכוחות הדמוקרטיים בעולם למען ישראל הדמוקרטית והליברלית.
Over the last few days I have received calls from leaders of social democratic parties around the world, expressing their support. Good friends of Israel are deeply worried about the regime coup happening here right now. Sister social democratic parties around the world, with whom we in Labor are in ongoing contact, are offering help and expertise and, more than anything, solidarity with liberal forces in Israel. As leader of the Labor Party I see huge importance in strengthening ties with democratic forces around the world for the good of liberal and democratic Israel" (Twitter 27.7.23).
