Congratulations our dear friends at UK Labour & Chair Keir Starmer for their achievement against Conservatives at local election through out England, Wales, Scotland & Northren Ireland.
Eran Hermony, General secretary of the Israeli Havoda Party: "I would like to congratulate our friend in British Labour for their impressive achievement. I am happy to see how our sister party in the UK growing and strengthening over the past year. The social-democratic vision is alive, kicking and strengthening accross Europe, and I have no doubt that it will be the same in Israel.
It is important for me to express my appreciation for the fact that Labour leader Kier Starmer, bravely fought the anti-Semitism that was a part of the party under formert Chair Jeremy Corbyn.
Following these efforts, I am proud that I had the privilege of leading, a year ago, the official resumption of relations between the Israeli Labor Party (Havoda) and the British Labour Party, in a zoom meeting with my colleague Labour Secretary General David Evans and with Israeli friends in the Havoda party.
Following the meeting we announced the renewal of the relationship, and I believe in their importance".
ברכות למפלגה האחות הלייבור הבריטי, בראשות היו"ר קייר סטארמר והמזכ"ל דיוויד אווונס, על ההישג בבחירות המקומיות ברחבי בריטניה ובתקווה שגם מפלגת העבודה הישראלית תביא הישגים דומים.
מזכ"ל המפלגה ערן חרמוני: "אני מבקש לברך את חברנו בלייבור הבריטי על ההישג המרשים. אני שמח לראות כיצד המפלגה האחות שלנו בבריטניה צומחת ומתחזקת בשנה האחרונה. החזון הסוציאל-דמוקרטי חי, בועט ומתחזק באירופה, ואין לי ספק כי כך יהא גם בישראל. חשוב לי להביע את הערכתי לכך שמנהיג הלייבור קייר סטארמר, נאבק באומץ באנטישמיות שהייתה מנת חלקה של המפלגה תחת קורביין.
בהמשך למאמצים אלו, אני גאה בכך כי הייתה לי הזכות להוביל לפני שנה את חידוש היחסים הרשמי בין מפלגת העבודה הישראלית ללייבור הבריטי, בפגישת הזום שקיימתי עם עמיתי מזכ"ל הלייבור וביחד עם ידידי ישראל במפלגה.
בעקבות הפגישה הודענו על חידוש היחסים, ואני מאמין בחשיבותם" (8.5.22).
